The Baby Einstein Digital Board Book™ series utilizes the unique features of DVD to create a multisensory learning resource for parents, infants and toddlers. The Baby Dollitle World Animals Digital Board Book features three activity centers — The Baby Dolittle Home Theatre, The Animal Classics Concert Hall and the Interactive Flash Cards.
The Baby Dolittle World Animals Video Board Book® is presented in the Home Theatre. Chapter cues are encoded throughout the video, allowing parents to repeat or skip particular parts of the program. A Repeat Play option is also included on the Home Theatre menu.
A truly charming listening experience awaits in the Concert Hall. You and your child will be treated to some of the most interesting music of the 19th and early 20th century, including pieces by Beethoven, Smetana, Grieg, Mendelssohn and Dvorak.
The Interactive Flash Cards are a first-of-its-kind application of DVD technology. Baby Einstein’s patent-pending, Baby Dolittle Flash Cards have been recreated in video still frames. A parent and child can “step” through the 29 visuals, identifying animals together, labeling the pictures with written vocabulary words, and hearing the natural sounds made by the animals. Two viewing modes — Learn the Animal and Guess the Animal — make the learning challenging and fun.
Also included on the Digital Board Books are catalogs of the toys that appear in the Baby Dolittle video. The Baby Einstein Digital Board Books are organized for easy navigation. The Main Menu is your entry point into the Home Theatre, Concert Hall, Interactive Flash Cards, Puppet Theatre or Resources. You can use your DVD player’s Title button to return to the Main Menu. Programming maps and chapter indices are provided in the printed Parents Guide.
Baby Dolittle World Animals video
In this video, you’ll discover a program divided into 9 video field trips. Each is dedicated to an animal that can be found in the jungle, on the savannah or in the ocean. Point to animals in the video and identify their name in context with the images (i.e. “See the striped tiger?”). Make animal sounds for your baby, and encourage her to make her own sounds. Draw pictures of the animals from the videos for your child and let your baby participate in these art sessions. Dance to or clap your baby’s hands to the music that you hear, and allow your child to guess, “What animal comes next?” based on the animal sound that our puppet host, Jane the Monkey, makes in each vignette. You can make the world your classroom by pointing to animals and identifying their names and the sounds that they make. The Baby Dolittle Flash Cards reinforce the animals learned and teach fascinating animal facts.
