Q: What's the difference between Rubberwood Unit Blocks, Maple Unit Blocks, and Beech Unit Blocks?
A: There is no difference in size or shape of the blocks. The unit size of the unit blocks is always 5.5" x 2.75" x 1.5". All are made of hardwood. The Beech and Maple Unit Blocks best resist dents and dings. Maple has become very expensive to use for wood blocks and Rubberwood is the best alternative for high quality wooden blocks. You probably wouldn't know the difference between the Beech and the Maple.
For a low price alternative nothing can beat Rubberwood Unit Blocks. The color of the Rubberwood is slightly darker and grainier than either Rubberwood or Maple. They are much less expensive and slightly lighter in weight than the Beech or Maple Unit Blocks.
