Pre-school Toys
Pre-school toys are made for children from three to five years. Games for that age group focus on memory, patterns, and matching. Aside from structured games, many toys focus on make-believe and creative skills. Some of these toys are a Play at Home Saxophone, Pizza Party!, wooden barn and dollhouse, Little Doctor Kit, and a calculator/cash register. While all can be incorporated some way into play – running a restaurant, pretending to be a musician, managing horses on a farm – the calculator/cash register can also be used to develop basic math skills, like addition and subtraction, and to become familiar with coins and dollars. Other toys we carry for developing life skills include sewing cards for lacing and stuffed animals to practice tying and dressing.
Many toys for this age group are timeless, in that they have been used for years and are still very popular. Some of these toys include kaleidoscopes, spinning tops, wooden blocks, and puzzles.
